Princess Marie Louise is ill

June 6, 1931

Princess Marie Louise, first cousin of King George V, is "suffering from an intestinal infection and has a fever," according to a bulletin issued by Lord Dawson of Penn and two other doctors, "who are expert in the treatment of intestinal disorders," reports the New York Times.

The Prince of Wales visited the Princess this evening.  The bulletin stated that "she was in no pain and her strength was well maintained."

Princess Marie Louise, 57, is a daughter of the late Princess Helena, third daughter of Queen Victoria, and Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein.
